I first started taking photographs professionally over 10 years ago and have been bitten by the bug ever since. Beginning with family portraits, I moved swiftly on to covering weddings along with travel photography and architectural commissions. As well as using modern digital photography equipment, I’m a big fan of old school analogue cameras. Using a Russian Lubitel made in the 1950’s and a Holga plastic camera along with a variety of film types, I am able to create images with a vintage feel that gives an entirely different look to those created with the latest digital SLRs.
I’ve previously worked as an events manager so have a good understanding of how a wedding runs. I also like to think this experience has given me good people skills which comes in really handy when getting some of the shyer guests in front of the lens. Married myself, I know how quickly the day goes by, and therefore how important it is to capture every special moment. Now based in Bristol, I along with my wife Charlie, cover photography commissions throughout the south west and further afield.
I’ve been happily snapping photos of my travels around the world for many years. Now firmly settled in Bristol with my lovely husband Simon, I’ve attended many weddings with him as second photographer as well as photographing several shoots of my own. I help to capture all those little extra details and usually take the photos of the bridal preparations – it’s always more comfortable with a girl around plus a love of shoes and jewellery certainly helps!
